Yes, I've decided to go Paleo(-ish). Why? Well, partly because I've put on some weight, but it's also because I've gotten into CrossFit, more cycling, a LOT more running and I want to eat healthier.
I've had a lot happened in the last year and was not able to keep up with my blogging; however, I hope with this new found lifestyle and my "new" life I should be able to keep up with my blog. Maybe it'll even help me become more aware about my health ;)
I ran the 2013 Houston Chevron Half Marathon and finished in 1:55:29 (yes, under 2 hours baby!) and also ranked 94th out of my division!! No lie, I am very proud of this accomplishment. I beat my first half-marathon race by cutting down 30 minutes of my time. However, since I've gained weight I feel like I should have ran faster.
So again, my goal in transitioning to the paleo diet is to help me become healthier and be aware of what I'm putting in my body. I am also going to add recipes on here that are paleo- friendly and also include notes for how to make it "traditional". Okay, so my next post will be a recipe... I promise!
